Beacon has a long-term contract with DONE to provide leadership development services for Neighborhood Council (NC) boards. We have conducted leadership development focusing on issues ranging from communication, organizational management, working in teams, collaboration and decision making. To diagnose issues, Beacon initially conducts an assessment using online and paper surveys. The assessment findings are used to customize solutions which may include facilitated dialogue among NC Board members, leadership development trainings, strategic planning or coaching. Through our services, we are able to assist the NCs to clarify and prioritize issues and address issues of communication, conflict resolution, and leadership.
