EVs_Plug'n_DriveClient:  Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA)
Beacon was retained for a research study on the current infrastructure development needs of stakeholders and consumers of Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEVs) in Southern California. The study was sponsored by a joint authority of public authorities which include LADWP, SC Edison, Pasadena, Glendale and other Southern CA public utility agencies.  Our research provided insight to local municipally owned utilities to develop a roadmap for future development of charging stations throughout the region in public and private places. We coordinated and conducted focus groups with over 40 stakeholders including large private sector employers (Disney, Citi-Bank, Toyota, Honda, Turner Construction, Clark Construction and others), universities/colleges (USC, Cal State-LA, Santa Monica College, Woodbury University), city agencies (Cities of Pasadena, Glendale, Santa Monica, San Bernardino and others) and private developers and businesses.

Outcome: Regional collaboration between major utilities, major employers and EV auto manufacturers to deliver new products, programs and solutions for diverse populations.
