Beacon Management Group was co-founded in 1997 by siblings Susanna and Brandon Shamim. Prior to establishing the firm, both had built successful careers across the public and private sectors.
Together, they brought complementary expertise, perspectives, and professional experience, which informed the firm’s strategic advisory work and client engagements.
 Susanna Shamim, M.P.P.A., SPHRPartner & Co-Founder Susanna brings over 40 years of experience in organizational change management, research and analysis, regulatory compliance and management. She has helped to restructure organizations and developed processes for greater accountability and efficiency and has started up and managed multiple for-profit and non-profit ventures. She has conducted research studies, management reviews, performance audits, economic impact analyses for agencies in transportation, utilities, education, workforce development, and business. She has facilitated strategic planning and visioning sessions with stakeholders for governmental agencies, institutions of higher education, and nonprofit organizations. She is an organizational development consultant and executive coach working with governmental agencies and businesses on performance enhancement.  Brandon Shamim, M.S.L.M.Partner & Co-Founder With over 35 years of experience, Brandon's strengths are in strategy development, public policy analysis, public relations, and leadership development. He has provided guidance on issues related to stakeholder engagement in transportation, energy and sustainability, land use and development, and public health--presenting policy analysis and briefings for senior executives, policymakers, federal, state and local elected members and regulatory agencies. As an organizational development consultant and leadership coach, Brandon has provided strategic guidance to business owners and entrepreneurs on business development, marketing and branding. Brandon has addressed thousands of professionals and lectured at USC Marshall School of Business and for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Initiative. He is an adjunct professor at University of California Riverside Institute for Global Management where he teaches students from around the world. Previously he directed public affairs and conducted communications and marketing for a national think‐tank and a Fortune 100 company; and conducted legislative affairs for a transportation agency in Southern California.
