With
a distinguished 35 year career in higher
education, he is a nationally recognized expert in
enrollment management and institutional capacity
building, executive coaching and leadership
development. He has served in several senior
leadership positions at major universities, both
public and private. |

Dr
Gravenberg recently served as Vice President for
Undergraduate Education at Alliant International
University where he was responsible for the
marketing, admissions, and enrollment and student
academic support services of undergraduate
programs. Under his leadership, formal partnerships
were developed with over 10 community colleges
designed to improve academic skills, increase
transfer enrollment and postsecondary success. |

Previously, Dr. Gravenberg was the Associate Vice
President for Enrollment Management and Student
Affairs at CSU, Sacramento from 1996-2003 when the
institution enjoyed phenomenal enrollment growth.
Formerly he was a Vice President with Noel Levitz, a
higher education consulting firm specializing in
enrollment management. During his tenure at Noel
Levitz, he consulted with over 80 colleges and
universities. Prior to this assignment, Dr.
Gravenberg was the Associate Vice President for
Enrollment Management at Howard University; the
Director of Admission at UC Riverside; Associate
Dean for Educational Programs in the Office of the
Chancellor for the CSU;, and Director of EOP and the
Learning Center at Humboldt State and CSU, Chico. |

Illustrative of his leadership acumen, he is a
faculty member at the Executive Leadership
Management Institute held every summer at Stanford
University. The Institute is the premier executive
leadership training program of the National
Association of College and University Business
Officers (NACUBO). Dr. Gravenberg is a nationally
recognized speaker, consultant and educational
leader. He has provided legislative testimony on
issues of access, student preparation and
educational equity. Most recently, he provided
testimony to the California Senate committee on
higher education. Additionally, Dr. Gravenberg
conducts sessions in strategic-thinking leadership,
and relational management. He has coached and
mentored senior executives, managers, supervisors in
both public, private, profit and non-profit
organizations. |

He
received a Chancellor's Fellowship from UC Riverside
to conduct research in curriculum and instruction,
and received his PhD in Educational Administration
from Columbus University in New Orleans. He has a
BA degree in Black Studies, and MA in Public
Administration from CSU, Chico. |
