Continuity of
Operations Planning (COOP)
Whether we are conducting BCP for a business or COOP
for a governmental agency, Beacon’s process consists
of 6 phases. Before Beacon can begin the
development of the plan, we recommend conducting an
analysis of current operations, which is then used
in developing the plan, followed by training for
employees and strategic partners. Finally, Beacon
conducts a simulation exercise to ensure that the
plan is properly implemented in a disaster.
Each phase will include the following elements:
-
Core Business Impact Analysis
-
Identifying Risks / Threats
-
Assessing Probability of Occurrence
-
Prioritizing Vulnerability of Risk
-
Identifying Required Resources
-
Inventorying Potential Impacts
-
Establishing Preventative Measures
